Mental Health Awareness Month is the extension of Mental Health Week which aims to improve community awareness and interest in mental health and wellbeing. In 2022, South Australia’s Mental Health Awareness Month will run from 1 to 31 October. My community Here are some simple suggestions for supporting your community’s wellbeing: cook meals for your friends when they’re experiencing a difficult time check in on a neighbour or family member who isn’t doing so well invite a friend for a walk, cup of coffee or something they enjoy doing find out more about what it’s like to live with mental illness from people who share their experiences through articles, books, films, podcasts, or mindshare website listen to your loved one’s insights into their own mental health challenges volunteer for a local service, or activities that improve your community’s wellbeing practice kindness and empathy. Please note: For some people, the thought of having a ‘mental health’ conversation may be off-putting. The RU OK website has great information on how to start off and have a mental health conversation. My wellbeing Everyone’s mental health and wellbeing is important. You can help look after your wellbeing by: getting enough sleep eating regularly and healthily exercising reducing alcohol consumption spending quality time with loved ones or people whose company you enjoy learning ways to manage stress actively managing your use of electronic devices and consumption of social media finding time for things you enjoy such, such as outdoor and creative activities or learning a new skill having a laugh! Livability Care Australia had an eventful few days leading to the opening of our first SIL house in Queensland. LCA together with KGC group opened doors to welcome three new participants to their very own state of the art SIL accommodation in Queensland on Friday. We are very excited to help many more NDIS participants move into their forever homes with amazing tailored care services.

There is no better pair that loves rock n roll as much as Chris and William from our Clearview house. Chris and William became best mates as soon as they moved in together ( a match made in literal heaven!. ) and have since helped each other improve both physical and mental health. The pair loves music - William is an amazing Guitar and Keyboard player while Chris loves to dance. They never miss footy matches and every social event in town . If you are lucky , you'll catch these mates on their routine trip to the local yiros shop to get their favorite Schnitty and bevo on a Thursday or Friday avo at Clearview

Deidre (Dee) is a woman who has imparted the life of so many people as a community support worker, Respite coordinator before her MSA diagnoses in 2019. Dee was first diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2007 which led her to write her first book (Fibromyalgia Well-Being) where she shares the result of ger extensive personal research and experience, with the hope inspiring others living with Fibromyalgia. Dee is a blogger, she loves spending time and socialising on Facebook, she enjoys music, Uno games and word search, she always likes her phone and iPad close to her for easy access. With our passion to give back to the community, Livability Care Australia is now a major sponsor of the Glenunga Cricket Club (GCC) in South Australia with the aim of encouraging kids and adults to be passionate about sport.  The Glenunga Cricket Club (GCC) is a community-based club that has been serving the Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide since 1977.It currently fields 5 senior teams in the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association, and 17 junior teams in the North Eastern Junior Cricket Association. Livability Care Australia is the sponsor for the ANCA ( Adelaide Nepalese Cricket Association) Sunshine Day 2023 , a motivational women focused program at the Taste of Himalayas on the 26 th of February from 9.00 am.  The main of the program to help and uplift women to build social and leadership skills to enhance their lives. The program will feature many motivational speakers , including special guest , Katrina Webb Oam to draw on her life experiences to deliver a dynamic and inspirational message. Katrina is a global ambassador for the International Paralympic Committee and due to her own experience in dealing with a disability and a deep love of helping others, Katrina is the Founder and Director of Newday Leadership a platform to inspire leadership for the greater good.
